Privacy Policy
Who we are
eStroke is a security and product engineering company. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers estroke.net only.
Information you give us
The only place this site asks for personal information is the contact form. When you submit it we collect:
| Field | Required | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | To address you correctly in our reply |
| Email address | Yes | To respond to your enquiry |
| Message | Yes | To understand what you need |
| Company name and size | No | To scope an appropriate response |
| Phone number | No | To reach you if you prefer a call |
| Role / designation | No | To pitch the response at the right level |
| Requirement type | No | To route the enquiry to the right practice area |
| Preferred contact method | No | To contact you the way you asked |
Please do not include confidential technical detail, credentials, or sensitive personal data in the message field. If an engagement needs that, we will agree a secure channel and an NDA first.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our server records the IP address and timestamp of requests, including contact form submissions. We use these for security monitoring and abuse prevention. Logs rotate automatically and older entries are overwritten.
- Browser storage. The site stores your light/dark theme choice, and an accessibility display setting if enabled, in your browser's local storage. These stay on your device, are not sent to us, and are not used to identify or track you.
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, runs no analytics or visitor-tracking scripts, and does not build advertising profiles.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible engagement.
- To keep a business record of enquiries we have received and responded to.
- To protect the site against abuse, spam, and automated attacks.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it to send marketing unrelated to the enquiry you made.
Who else can see it
Contact form submissions are stored in our own database and are accessible only to authorised eStroke personnel through an authenticated admin interface. We do not share them with third parties except where we are legally required to.
Two third parties receive technical information simply because your browser loads files from them when the page renders — in both cases your IP address and browser details, and nothing you typed:
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site.
- Cloudflare (cdnjs) — serves the icon stylesheet.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers process data on our behalf in order to run the site.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable business record, and then delete them. Server logs are short-lived and are overwritten as they rotate. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.
Security
Access to enquiry data requires authentication, and submissions are validated and stored using parameterised database queries. No system is perfectly secure, but security engineering is what we do, and we hold this site to the standards we recommend to clients.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
To make any of these requests, email contact@estroke.net. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
